Whenever we want to send our gear on a tough field test, we always send it to Daniel Fox. He recently used our 17 Watt Solar Charger Kit with our waterproof case. As you can see, the panel mounts nicely on the back of the kayak and the V72 (now available as the V88 Battery Pack) is snug and dry inside of a Nanuk case.
Mid-way through a recent trip, Daniel hit a pretty rough water off the coast of Oregon that ended up cracking his kayak in half. We highly recommend reading about his adventure. Less important, but good news for us is that the panel and waterproof battery case survived this test.
