People in Boston have a new way to keep their phones charged. The seat-e doubles as a bench and a phone charging station. It also uses Voltaic’s 3.4 Watt solar panels and our V39 USB battery.

The seat-e was recently covered in the Boston Globe which described them as “sleek, backless benches has a solar panel on one side to provide power to recharge cellphones, a connection to the Internet, and for night lighting. Soon they also will have sensors to detect for air pollution — even telling whether someone nearby is smoking.”

Find out more about the seat-e on their site. Future upgrades include air quality monitoring which we think is pretty cool.
