Compatibility

Smartphones:
Charges all USB Devices including all Apple, Android, Google, and Blackberry smartphones.

Tablets:
Charges all tablets that are powered by USB including Apple iPads and Samsung Tablets. Will not charge tablets that charge at 12 or 16 Volts such as a Microsoft Surface.

Digital Cameras:
Charges both DSLRs and cameras that charge from USB. For DSLRs, an optional camera charger cradle that matches your camera battery is required. Read our tutorial on solar camera charging.

    Temper your expectations

    Does an ok job overall. However, results will be mostly average to poor in real-world conditions. As long as the cells are in DIRECT, unobstructed, cloudless sunlight ALL DAY in the summertime when sunlight exposure is greatest, it performs as advertised. When hiking in wooded, mountain areas in the Fall season with occasional cloud cover, you'll be lucky to charge the battery to 25% in 8 hours.

    Small, Excellent, Easy to Mount, Fast Charger

    I haven't been able to play with this too much, but I did use it to charge my Galaxy S7 and it charged it in excellent time. The system is easy to mount on your gear with zip ties, carabiners, etc. As for the time it takes to get a full charge from the sun, I haven't been able to test it in the field, so I have no input on this. Very strong for its compact size.
