Christopher Dutton has created a series of solar-powered and networked water level loggers to monitor the Mara river levels in Tanzania. They have three stations deployed and uploading data to the Internet now and are working on deploying 20 more. The systems use Voltaic 2.0 and 3.5 Watt waterproof solar panels to power an Arduino and GSM card.
