Voltaic is proud to have our 15 Watt Solar Panel featured at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago’s (MSI) Smart Home: Green + Wired, a new exhibit at MSI. Our 15 Watt panel is designed to charge laptops as well as handheld electronics from tablets to smartphones. It uses high-efficiency (20%) monocrystalline cells to get the maximum power in a small amount of space. At just a pound and a half, the panel is super portable and can be taken anywhere.

Here is a bit more about the exhibit:
Past meets future in MSI’s 2011 Smart Home: Green + Wired exhibit. Museum guests can tour a real, functioning three-story, modular and sustainable, green home—built right in the Museum’s backyard—that highlights unique eco-friendly technologies for the 21st century.

The exhibit home—built in 2008 and redesigned with a couple and their 10-year-old son in mind courtesy of Chicago interior furnishing store, Scout, and its owner Larry Vodak—features unique pieces that have been repurposed in amazing ways. These items from the past are complimented by technologies from the future, courtesy of technology partner, Gizmodo.

Smart Home is a must-see exhibit for anyone who wants their home, and life, to be smarter, more efficient and more in tune with the environment than it is today. The exhibit runs through Jan. 8, 2012. To learn more and purchase tickets, visit msichicago.org. SmartHome is proudly sponsored by ComEd.
