We’re sending a Fuse 4W Solar Charger plus a Nikon D3100 (EN-EL14) charger to Stu in Melbourne, Australia. While not the most extreme in the traditional sense of some of our past winners, we thought the challenge of global travelling with a five and seven year old worthy of our gear.
They will be traveling for 9 weeks. Says Stu, “the trip will start with the hustle and bustle of a few days in Marrakech but quickly give way to the majesty of the Atlas mountains folding down to meet the Sahara Desert.”
Next up is Nepal for 5 weeks “to take in the splendour of the Himalaya and the generous spirit of the Nepalese. Limitations of young kids will prevent us from scaling any lofty passes but we will instead meander into the sanctuary of the Langtang Valley to be surrounded by amazing peaks and the Tibetan Culture of the Tamang people.”
