We are definitely partial here at Voltaic to a great biking adventure, well we actually love all exciting endeavors! Our February gear winner, Rian Cope, is part of a 3-man team with Nam Youngho and Jason Richard Smith heading on an outback cycling adventure from Alice Springs to Eighty Mile Beach in Australia. They’ll be using the Fuse 10W solar charger to power up their Go Pro, Nikon D610 DSLR and iPhones.

In addition to the ride, they will be documenting and producing a feature film of the unassisted (no support vehicle) adventure across the Great Sandy Desert and Gibson Desert taking approximately 25 days and covering 1,600km of desert.  The terrain will range from an off-road vehicle track to no trail at all, definitely no possible electrical outlets out there.  The route will take them through some of the most remote and pristine areas of Australia. You can also check out Cope’s website, The Riders Tale, for more information on this and past endeavors. Since Cope and Youngho are experienced photographers and we are looking forward to some high quality pictures and video. Go Team!
